Casting paper

In the midst of packing, I came down with a bad case of the "gotta makes."  I think most artists get this. Basically, at the most inconvenient time, one MUST make something creative.

I've been itching to cast paper again. I did it both in undergrad and grad school, with very cool results.  Here's a look at what I did this week.

Mini baking tins; silicone lubricant; and white paper pulp:
Pressing pulp into the mold; letting the full molds dry completely:
The finished result: cast paper!
After i trim up the edges, I'll probably add some color or other surface treatment. I'll be sure to share!
