Mother's Day is coming...

Each year for Mother's Day, I like to make something for my mom. Sometimes it's a mix tape, sometimes it's a pair of earrings, other times a special painting. One year I made paper from scratch and created an intaglio print of a Renaissance-style Madonna and Child image. I also created this watercolor Mother and Child for her.

But now I have my own kids, and I don't really have time anymore... do you? Probably not. So why don't you get your sweet mama a special Mother and Child print from my shop? Check it out~ https://www.etsy.com/listing/29546541/watercolor-print-mother-and-child-in?ref=shop_home_active_1 Now on Sale through Mother's Day (May 11) for only $15!!

Mary's Custom Pilates Painting

Hey Folks!
I just had the pleasure of creating a custom painting for Mary, who is a pilates instructor in CT. Such a sweet and friendly client. I love the folks I create for. :-)  She asked for a Pull Up on the pilates chair in my favorite combo of colors. I added her business name in the chair, so the figure would be rising above it. Voila!

The shop's abuzz!

There's a new print in my shop!  It's all abuzz...

I love bees for their honey (of course!), their industrious nature and silent cooperation, but also because they're so significant to our food sources. According to the National Resource Defense Council, "Bees are one of a myriad of other animals, including birds, bats, beetles, and butterflies, called pollinators. Pollinators transfer pollen and seeds from one flower to another, fertilizing the plant so it can grow and produce food. Cross-pollination helps at least 30 percent of the world’s crops and 90 percent of our wild plants to thrive. Without bees to spread seeds, many plants—including food crops—would die off."

Sometimes the smallest things are the most important. Bzzzzz......
